Location: Austin, Texas (Onsite)

Alternate Location: Southlake, TX

Role Overview

As a .NET Developer with AI experience, you will contribute to AI-assisted workflows across the System Development Life Cycle. You will work with .NET engineering, event-driven architecture, cloud-native platforms, and Generative AI-assisted delivery to build reliable business solutions within a complex financial domain.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and event-driven applications using .NET, Kafka, and cloud-native architecture patterns.
  • Build and modernize high-volume services, APIs, and distributed application capabilities that support reliable transaction processing and business-critical workflows.
  • Partner with architects, product owners, developers, and adjacent technology teams to convert business capabilities into high-quality technical solutions.
  • Use GenAI coding assistants to accelerate implementation, refactoring, unit testing, regression support, code reviews, scripting, automation, troubleshooting, and documentation.
  • Use agentic workflows, prompt engineering, custom instructions, and spec-driven development practices to improve productivity.
  • Strengthen engineering quality through automated testing, code reviews, performance analysis, observability, and resiliency practices.
  • Support modernization initiatives by moving legacy capabilities toward distributed .NET services, cloud-native platforms, and modern data stores.
  • Collaborate with engineers in a team-oriented environment and help adopt repeatable, responsible AI-assisted development practices.
Required Qualifications
Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience
  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience developing scalable .NET, cloud-based, or web services applications in high-volume environments.
  • 4+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-native applications using Google Cloud Platform, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and CI/CD practices.
  • 2+ years of experience working with databases such as MongoDB, Aerospike, PostgreSQL, or comparable relational and NoSQL platforms.
  • 1+ years of hands‑on experience with AI/ML implementation, production deployment, or AI-assisted engineering practices.
  • Experience owning technical components or features and collaborating within a software delivery team.
  • Experience contributing to IT transformation or system modernization initiatives.
Technical Skills
  • Hands‑on experience with .NET and Kafka, with knowledge of distributed systems, stream processing, and performance optimization.
  • Working experience with IBM MQ, Splunk, JSON/XML, caching, performance analysis, and Twelve‑Factor App methodology.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as PCF, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Hands‑on experience or practical exposure to Large Language Models such as GPT, Claude, Gemini, or PaLM.
  • Experience using GenAI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) across the SDLC.
  • Working knowledge of agentic workflows, spec‑driven development, custom instructions, and prompt engineering.
  • Knowledge of Agile methodology and experience with tools like Jira and Confluence.
Other Qualifications
  • Understanding of broker‑dealer domain capabilities and operations is required; experience in the financial services industry is preferred.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and a bias for action to drive outcomes.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience in Test‑Driven Development (TDD), Behavior‑Driven Development (BDD), and QA automation.
  • Proficiency in creating architecture diagrams, design documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Experience with performance engineering, reliability testing, and operational readiness for high‑volume distributed platforms.
  • Exposure to AI‑assisted SDLC transformation initiatives or internal developer productivity programs.
  • Experience supporting or mentoring peers on .NET engineering practices or responsible AI‑assisted software delivery.
