Avanade Poland is seeking a .NET Backend Developer with Copilot Studio experience. You will design and build secure, scalable backend applications using .NET and Azure, and extend Copilot Studio agents leveraging enterprise knowledge sources.

You will work with distributed teams in an Agile environment to deliver AI-enabled backend solutions. The role emphasizes API design, agent development, and secure integration with enterprise systems.

Qualifications

• Requirement: 3+ years of web development with .NET/.NET 10 is a plus.
• Experience building backend applications and APIs with ASP.NET Core.
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs with backend systems.
• Hands-on experience building Copilot Studio agents in commercial or internal projects.
• Experience hosting .NET backends on Azure (Functions, App Service, Key Vault).
• Experience with relational databases (SQL Server/Azure SQL).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
• English at B2 level (daily use).

Responsabilités

This role is available for specialists open to work remote (within Poland) or in hybrid mode (offices in Wroclaw and Krakow).

Position:

As a .NET Backend Developer with Copilot Studio experience, you will primarily design and build secure, scalable backend applications and services using .NET and Microsoft Azure.

You will also build and extend Microsoft Copilot Studio agents that rely on these services, turning client requirements into production-ready AI agents. This role is a good fit for an experienced backend developer who has already built agents in Copilot Studio and wants to grow further in AI agent development, working across application, integration and Power Platform responsibilities.

• Design, develop and maintain reliable, secure and well-tested backend applications and services using C#, .NET and Microsoft Azure

• Build and integrate REST APIs used by Copilot Studio agents

• Build agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio, including topics, generative orchestration, knowledge sources, actions and agent flows

• Write agent instructions and ground agents in enterprise knowledge sources to improve accuracy and reliability

• Extend agents with custom connectors, REST APIs and Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers

• Integrate backend services with business systems, databases, Microsoft Graph and Dataverse

• Secure APIs and agent connections using Entra ID and OAuth 2.0, applying DLP policies, data protection and responsible AI practices

• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and deploy agents through Power Platform ALM

• Work directly with technical and business stakeholders in workshops and demos to understand and refine requirements

• Collaborate closely with distributed project teams using Agile methodologies

• Work on projects across a range of industries and business domains

Required skills:

For this role, you will need:

• 3y+ of experience with web development using .NET (.NET 10 is a nice-to-have)

• Experience building backend applications and APIs using ASP.NET Core

• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs with backend systems

• Hands-on experience building agents in Microsoft Copilot Studio in commercial or internal projects

• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure services for hosting .NET backends, such as Azure Functions, App Service and Key Vault

• Experience with Entity Framework Core and relational databases (e.g. SQL Server / Azure SQL)

• Experience securing APIs using Entra ID and OAuth 2.0

• Knowledge of automated testing, clean code principles, design patterns and modern software architecture

• Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions

• Practical experience with prompt engineering for Copilot Studio agents

• Practical experience with Power Platform

• Understanding of ALM for Copilot Studio and Power Platform solutions

• Understanding of responsible AI, DLP and data protection practices for AI agents

• English skills at B2 level (we communicate in English on a daily basis)

Nice to have:

• Experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools in Copilot Studio

• Experience with Microsoft Foundry or Azure AI services

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration using Docker or Kubernetes

• Experience with data platforms such as Microsoft Fabric or Databricks

• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or Claude Code

• Knowledge of frontend technologies such as React or Angular
