A leading company seeks a Board Certified nephrologist for ongoing coverage in Seattle. Responsibilities include inpatient care, managing kidney transplant patients, and providing consults. Ideal candidates will have BLS certification and experience in transplant nephrology.

Job description

Coverage Needed :

• ASAP - ongoing
• Call Only, 7-day call: Monday 8 am - Monday 8 am
• One week of coverage per month starting ASAP

Clinical Details :

• Practice Setting: Inpatient
• Patients Per Shift: 3-5
• Bed In Department: 10
• EMR System: Epic
• Call Type: Beeper with 20 min call response time required and phone consults
  • During in-patient call, will consult on post-kidney transplant patients, write dialysis orders, manage kidney specific needs and also consult on liver patients that need nephrology input
• Support Staff: Resident or Teaching Supervision Required
• Clinic coverage is necessary if the provider is a transplant nephrologist
• Receive phone calls from other physicians, ER's, outside hospitals to provide advice on immunosuppression management

Requirements :

• Board Certified
• Licensed in WA or eligible for IMLC
• BLS Certification
• Trained in transplant nephrology or has experience taking care of kidney transplant patients
