Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Physician Assistant for our Medical Specialty team in the Round Rock area. The role involves direct patient care, prescriptive authority, and working within specialty clinics under physician supervision.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current Texas PA license or eligibility to practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire/transfer.
• Prescriptive authority with physician supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assess physical and mental condition with exam and history.
• Order and interpret labs and tests to guide care.
• Prescribe or recommend therapies and treatments per protocols.
• Develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans with the care team.
• Counsel patients and families on medications, regimens, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and outcomes.
• Provide consultation within specialty clinics (e.g., Nephrology, Cardiology, etc.).
• Manage patients in various care settings beyond primary clinic.
