Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Round Rock is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide direct patient care in a specialty setting, working under physician supervision. This role emphasizes problem-focused exams, medication management, and coordinated care in a high-quality hospital system.

The PA will perform comprehensive assessments, order tests, and develop treatment plans across multiple specialties, with emphasis on nephrology/dialysis care and inpatient/outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• 1+ year of experience as a PA or in a similar clinical role.
• Active Texas PA license and NCCPA certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients with comprehensive or problem-focused exams and histories.
• Order, collect, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and other therapies per approved protocols.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Counsel patients and families on medicine, procedures, and health promotion.
• Maintain accurate records and coordinate referrals or consultations as needed.
