Job summary

MaineHealth Accountable Care Organization in Belfast, ME invites a Medical Assistant to join the Nephrology team. This full-time role (36 hours per week) supports patients with kidney conditions, from rooming to coordinating care, and collaborates with providers to keep care moving smoothly.

For a limited time, sign-on bonuses are offered: $4,000 for 0-1 year experience and $5,000 for 1+ year experience. Education: High School diploma or GED; MA certification; BLS within 30 days; base pay range

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or GED preferred. Must meet one of the listed pathways for Medical Assisting with clinical hours or equivalent.
• Certifications: Current AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT; BLS within 30 days; NH licensure for NH positions if applicable.
• Experience: Six months as Medical Assistant or one year as MaineHealth Clinical Team Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and support providers in nephrology care.
• Update clinical information and respond to patient needs to keep care moving smoothly.
• Coordinate care and communicate with the clinical team to ensure seamless patient experience.
• Support the team in administrative and clinical tasks as needed.
