Job summary

Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Hampden, ME seeks a full-time Medical Assistant to support ambulatory care teams. Responsibilities include assisting providers with procedures, rooming patients, obtaining ECGs, and following up on lab results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and completion of a medical assistant program.
• Certification/registration: CCMA, CMA, NCMA, or RMA, or five years as a Medical Assistant with certification.
• LPN licensure or eligibility for Maine LPN licensure.
• Direct patient care experience in ambulatory settings; familiarity with Cerner is preferred.
• Current CPR certification and ability to obtain accurate vitals and patient histories.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with procedures in ambulatory setting.
• Follow up with patients on lab and test results.
• Room patients and prepare exam rooms.
• Obtain ECGs and prepare for appointments.
• Preload and confirm office appointments.
