Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program or 1 year clinical experience required.
• 2 years of experience in a similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing records and updating needed services with the provider.
• Complete pre-charting of value-based pieces up to five days before appointment.
• Prepare patients for examination and escort to exam room.
• Obtain vitals, update med list, allergies, and visit reason.
• Communicate with Care Team about discharge, tests, or follow-up as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and dispose of waste per protocol.
