Job summary

Mercyhealth Careers is seeking a medical assistant to support patient care in a multidisciplinary clinic setting. You will room patients, collect assessments, assist with examinations, and help with laboratory procedures and QI projects.

Responsibilities include scheduling, reminders, patient check-in, charting updates, and coordinating referrals with insurance and other offices. Ability to work with limited supervision and adhere to standard procedures is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an ABHES or CAAHEP-accredited medical assistant program or equivalent accreditation.
• Clinical rotation experience is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment and clinic procedures.
• Schedule appointments and manage the computer scheduler.
• Coordinate referrals and handle patient records and billing.
• Prepare and maintain patient charts and assist with lab procedures.
