Job summary

Eastern Nephrology Associates seeks an Advanced Practitioner (NP or PA) to provide acute care for CKD, AKI, and ESRD patients in an inpatient hospital setting in Greenville, NC. This on-site, patient-facing role requires direct interaction with patients and caregivers and collaboration with nephrology teams.

The ideal candidate will hold NP or PA certification with relevant licensure, BCLS/ACLS, and a commitment to evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Graduate education at master’s, post-master’s or doctoral level in nursing or physician assistant track.
• National board certification (ANCC/AANP) for NP or NCCPA for PA.
• Active NC RN license for NP track and current licensure eligibility.
• BCLS and ACLS certifications required and maintained.
• Hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and case management for CKD/ESRD patients in hospital settings.
• Order and interpret labs and imaging; manage treatment plans including dialysis-related procedures.
• Collaborate with nephrologists to coordinate patient care and treatments.
• Document patient encounters and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Communicate with patients and families to educate and support care plans.
