Job summary

Eastern Nephrology Associates, PLLC seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver acute nephrology care for CKD, AKI, and ESRD in an inpatient hospital setting. The role includes performing assessments, ordering tests, interpreting results, and coordinating care with nephrologists.

The position is on-site and requires collaboration with providers, live patient interactions, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines. BCLS/ACLS are required, and NC licensure is mandatory.

Qualifications

• Nurse Practitioner: graduate education at MSN/doctorate level with national board certification.
• NP/PA with valid NC RN license and board eligibility or certification.
• BCLS and ACLS are required and must be maintained.
• Hospital experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical assessment and case management for CKD/AKI/ESRD patients.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and labs; manage treatment plans including dialysis modalities.
• Collaborate with nephrologists and other clinicians; refer for specialist input when needed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and complete accurate documentation.
• In-office presence required for real-time collaboration and HIPAA compliance.
