Job summary

SMG System Medical Group in Wheeling, WV is seeking a nephrologist to join a regional team providing expert nephrology care across multiple WVU Medicine locations. The role emphasizes strong interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills in a collaborative environment.

The successful candidate will practice across Wheeling Hospital and affiliated regional clinics, supported by WVU Health System’s resources and network.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree (or foreign equivalent) and eligible for state medical license.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency.
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Nephrology fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Flexibly practice at Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Wetzel County Hospital, Barnesville Hospital, Harrison Community Hospital and associated North Region ambulatory clinics as needed.
• Provide nephrology care with emphasis on diagnostic and clinical excellence.
• Join a physician-led team with WVU Medicine’s North Region to support patient care across locations.
