The WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) seeks a nephrologist to join a regional team serving Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial, Wetzel County, Barnesville, Harrison Community and North Region clinics.

WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) seeks a nephrologist. The ideal candidate will possess excellent interpersonal, diagnostic, and clinical skills.

Qualifications:

Successful candidates must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible to obtain a state medical license. Applicants must have completed an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine residency, and completion of an ACGME-accredited Nephrology fellowship. Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology.

This group functions as a 'Regional Team' and the successful candidate could be expected to practice at all locations as needed: Wheeling Hospital, Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Wetzel County Hospital, Barnesville Hospital, Harrison Community Hospital and all associated North Region Ambulatory clinics.

The WVU Health System Medical Group (SMG) formed in 2021 and has since grown to 900 physicians and advanced practice providers. Caregivers affiliated with the group practice in all 25 WVU Medicine hospitals and clinics. The group's physicians serve in a variety of specialties and subspecialties - from primary care to advanced specialty care - and work in tandem with the WVU faculty practice plan.
