Neonatology in SD

Join an established group of 6 Neonatologists and 20 NNPs, with an opening for an additional Neonatologist.

Location and Community

• 80 miles to Sioux City, 180 miles to Omaha, 4 hours to Minneapolis.

Hospital and Facilities

• State-of-the-art Level IIIb NICU with 42 beds, including individual, twin, and triplet rooms; expansion planned for 2027.
• eNICU technology supporting remote patient care.
• New Women’s & Children’s tower completed by 2027.
• 24/7 coverage with on-site day coverage and the option for night coverage from home.
• Resuscitation at 22 weeks gestation.

Team and Collaboration

• Support from 20 NNPs and a multidisciplinary team including RNs, case managers, social workers, dietitians, lactation consultants, patient educators, child life specialists, and family support specialists.
• Collaborations with perinatology and pediatric specialists in cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, hospital medicine, infectious disease, intensive care, pulmonology, nephrology, neurology, orthopedics, and general surgery.
• Participation in research, education, quality improvement, and safety initiatives, with membership in the Vermont Oxford Network.
• Academic appointments available through the USD School of Medicine.
• Teaching opportunities with med students, NNP students, and Family Medicine residents.
• Research support from a dedicated clinical research team.
