A non-profit health system in West Central Illinois seeks a Pediatric Physician to join a rapidly expanding practice. The role involves providing comprehensive care to patients in a supportive environment, with competitive salaries and various benefits.
Compensation: $200,000 to $300,000 total, with a base salary of $180,000 - $210,000 per year depending on experience, plus a strong RVU production bonus.

Practice Situation: The non-profit health system is the largest provider in the tri-state area of West Central Illinois, including a 426-bed regional referral hospital, a Critical Access Hospital, and a 40-member Physician Services group with a Pediatrics Department staffed by two board-certified pediatricians. The practice is expanding rapidly to meet increasing demand. All physicians are employed by the system and are eligible for competitive salaries and incentive bonuses. The practice involves treating patients both inpatient and outpatient in a traditional pediatric setting, accepting all patients regardless of insurance or financial status. The hospital offers comprehensive support services, including a high-risk nursery and helicopter transport for critical cases.
Community Overview: The community serves a population of 50,000 within a 300,000 service area, situated on limestone bluffs overlooking the Mississippi River. Known for its natural beauty, Victorian-era architecture, and vibrant arts scene, it boasts low unemployment and has been recognized as a top small arts community and a desirable place to raise a family. Educational options include public and private schools, a community college, a university, and vocational colleges. The area offers excellent dining, parks, recreational facilities, and is conveniently located near St. Louis, Kansas City, and Chicago, with accessible flights and Amtrak service.
