Job description

MDM Search is seeking a Pediatrician for an outpatient-only opportunity with a growing regional pediatric health system. Located 45 minutes north of Dothan, Alabama, and just over an hour's drive to the Emerald Coast, Panama City Beach, Florida.

Job Title: Outpatient Pediatrician

Job Summary: We are seeking a team-oriented, positive, and exceptional pediatrician to join our established private practice and clinic system located in a historic city in Alabama, an hour's drive from the Emerald Coast. The ideal candidate should be comfortable eventually seeing at least 20 patients per day and have the willingness and ability to see more as needed. Initially, patient volume will be 10-15 as the new site grows.

The schedule is Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with a possible rotation of Saturdays from 8 am to 12 pm in the future (not currently in place). The pediatrician will not be required to do inpatient work but can have courtesy privileges at the local hospital. The position is employed, with a base salary range of $210,000-$260,000 (negotiable). Additional compensation and bonuses are available, along with education assistance and awards of $100,000-$150,000.

Job Duties:

• Provide exceptional pediatric care to children.
• Maintain accurate medical records using Azalea Health EMR.
• Participate in rotating telephone triage call with other providers as needed.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Collaborate with Nurse Practitioners.
• Close charts within 96 hours at most.

Requirements:

• MD / DO degree and Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics.
• Valid Alabama Medical License or intent to obtain one.
• 1-2 years of experience preferred but not required.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and staff.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Team-oriented and positive attitude.

Support staff includes PAs, MAs, and office staff. We are recruiting one Pediatrician and two Nurse Practitioners, each with their own MA. The team also includes two receptionists and an office manager overseeing daily operations. Currently, no scribes are employed.
