Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is expanding its Neonatology service at NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx. You will provide on-site senior medical leadership, consult on high-risk antepartum cases, and attend deliveries with residents during the day and high-risk deliveries in evenings and overnights.

The role includes supervising residents and medical students, providing on-call coverage, and supporting education.

Qualifications

• Board Certification in Pediatrics is required.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine is required.
• Active New York State Medical License is required.
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site senior medical physician providing clinical and technical assistance.
• Consult on high-risk antepartum patients in Labor & Delivery.

Education

Board Certification in Pediatrics

Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health.

Opportunity Details:

• Function as the on-site senior medical physician providing clinical and technical assistance, as needed.
• Consult on high-risk antepartum patients in Labor & Delivery.
• Attend all deliveries with Residents during weekdays.
• Attend all high-risk deliveries during evenings and overnights.
• Supervise and teach residents and medical students.
• Provide on-call coverage (weeknights, weekends, and holidays) as assigned by the Departmental call schedule.

Qualifications:

• Board Certification in Pediatrics.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
• Active New York State Medical License.
• Current BLS, NRP, and ACLS certifications.

Wages and Benefits include:

• Annual Base Salary: $250,000* (board eligible); $260,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
• Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
