Job summary

Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) seeks an Endocrinologist to join NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi and North Central Bronx teams. The role provides outpatient and inpatient endocrine care with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Eligible candidates are Board Certified/Board Eligible in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine, with an active NYS medical license. Competitive salary with comprehensive benefits is offered in a large urban system.

Qualifications

• Board certification status in Internal Medicine is required or eligible.
• Board certification status in Endocrinology is required or eligible.
• Active, unrestricted New York State medical license is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive endocrine care in outpatient clinics and inpatient consultation settings.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage hormonal and metabolic disorders through thorough clinical assessment and review of medical histories.
• Communicate diagnoses and treatment plans clearly to patients, including medication management, lifestyle guidance, and preventive care strategies.
• Conduct follow-up visits to monitor progress, modify treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical documentation.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers and multidisciplinary care teams.
• Supervise and educate residents, endocrine fellows, and medical students through clinical teaching, conferences, and research activities.
• Participate in peer review, quality assurance, department and division meetings, and faculty development sessions.
• Participate in process improvement for access, quality, flow, patient experience, risk reduction, and financial viability in alignment with the goals of health and hospitals.
• Participate in developing/revising programs, policies and protocols for patient care aligned with patient centered medical home.
• Develop capabilities for clinical research and scholarly activity. Involvement in 1-2 scholarly research projects per year.
• Special projects as identified.

Jacobi Medical Center is a 457-bed, Level I Trauma Center and North Central Bronx Hospital (NCB) has 213 licensed beds. To this day, Jacobi and NCB remain respected leaders in emergency medicine, trauma surgery, burn care, pediatrics, primary care, and women’s health. Wages and Benefits include

• Annual Base Salary: $241,000* (Board Eligible); $246,000* (Board Certified) based on 40-hour work week.
• Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
