Job summary

Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center Neonatology team is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant to join our collaborative and dedicated team in Lancaster, PA.

This inpatient role provides care in a Level II NICU and the well-baby nursery, with overnight support from a backup neonatologist. The PA will credential after orientation and work both independently and with attending physicians to deliver high-quality neonatal care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• National board certification.
• Current Pennsylvania Physician Assistant license (or eligible).
• Minimum of one year of experience as a Physician Assistant in neonatal critical care.
• BLS and NRP certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care in a Level II NICU.
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests (labs/imaging).
• Prescribe medications and interventions within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with attending physicians and healthcare team to deliver high-quality care.
• Credential after orientation and work independently and with peers and other clinicians.
