Job summary

The Penn State Health St. Joseph Medical Center Neonatology team is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Level II NICU, with responsibilities in the well-baby nursery and delivery room.

The Physician Assistant will manage overnight care for NICU patients, working independently and with attending physicians, peers, and the multidisciplinary care team to provide high-quality care to critically ill and newborn patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or equivalent and PA licensure in PA.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.
• Minimum 2 years of PA experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee overnight care for NICU patients and coordinate with the care team.
• Collaborate with attending physicians, peers, and nurses to deliver high-quality neonatal care.
• Credentialing to practice independently within Neonatology after orientation.
