Job summary

Regional One Health is seeking a Pharmacist/Float PRN for the Pharmacy Newborn Center in Memphis, TN. The role involves preparing and dispensing medications, verifying orders, and providing patient education across neonatal and general patient populations.

Requirements include Tennessee Pharmacist licensure and at least 1 year of patient-care experience. The pharmacist will supervise technicians, manage inventory, and support clinical consultations and quality initiatives within a hospital

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Pharmacy, M.S., and/or Pharm D (Preferred)
• Tennessee Licensure as a Pharmacist (Required)
• At least 1 year experience; experience in patient care as obtained through completion of an approved pharmacy program (Required)

Responsibilities

• Prepares and dispenses medications as prescribed, including calculation and preparation for neonatal, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
• Interprets and evaluates medication orders for contraindications and dosing; ensures patient profile accuracy.
• Maintains documentation and records, prepares labels and provides patient education on use of medications.
• Assists in operation of the assigned pharmacy, supervises technicians, supports inventory and drug distribution systems.
• Provides clinical consultation on drug therapy, storage, and research projects; participates in quality improvement and performance initiatives.
• Performs in the maintenance of records, reports and files, and ensures compliance with policies and regulatory standards.

Education

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or MS (Preferred)

Tennessee Licensure as Pharmacist

At least 1 year of experience in patient care (Required)
