Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to identify clinical needs.
• Initiates and manages per protocol during ground transport: Mechanical Ventilation.
• NIV, including HFNC and Bubble CPAP.
• Nitric Oxide
• High Frequency Ventilation.
• Respiratory Medications.
• Trouble shoot transport equipment.
• Work the Registered Nurse and EMT on transport to provide patient care.
• Performs Arterial punctures.
• Performs Intubations.
• Maintain competencies required by institution, department, and CAMTs.
• Performs lab tests for blood gases and glucose checks per POCT guidelines and interpret results.
• Collaborate with receiving units at MCJCHV and referring facilities to coordinate patient transport.
