Job summary

The Critical Care Neonatal and Pediatric Transport Team at Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt is a specialized CAMTS‑accredited team that provides high-level care in ground and fixed wing transport for the most critical neonatal and pediatric patients.

As a Respiratory Therapist on the transport team, you will contribute to airway management, NIV and invasive ventilation, and collaborate with nurses and AEMTs while supporting ongoing training and professional growth within

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) in Tennessee.
• Experience in critical care or transport preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care during transport for neonatal/pediatric patients.
• Manage airway and ventilation support (NIV, HFNC, CPAP) as needed.
• Collaborate with RNs and EMTs to ensure patient safety and continuity of care.
• Maintain and troubleshoot transport equipment and perform point-of-care testing as required.
