Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Director, and Vice President of Nursing, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner delivers specialty care with a high degree of expertise in perinatal and neonatal health by formulating a plan based on assessment, examination, and selected diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice. Provides leadership for the health care team by collaborating with physicians, nursing, case manager, and multi-disciplinary team members to ensure high quality, comprehensive care is delivered. Has a collaborative practice agreement with the Neonatologist.

Job Details and Requirements

• Position: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in the region’s largest Level III NICU in Saint Francis Healthcare System.
• Team: 3 board‑certified, fellowship‑trained neonatologists and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners serving a 36‑bed NICU and a 306‑bed medical center.
• Schedule: approximately 1 24‑hour shift (07:00‑07:00) per week, total of 4 shifts/month.
• Education: Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurse program for Neonatal Nurses.
• Certifications & Licensures: Credentialed and licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurse in Missouri; NRP Certification; BLS Certification.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years neonatal nursing experience. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
