Job Summary

Under the direction of the Manager, Director, and Vice President of Nursing, the Neonatal Nurse Practitioner delivers specialty care with a high degree of expertise in perinatal and neonatal health by formulating a plan based on assessment, examination, and selected diagnostic procedures within their scope of practice. Provides leadership for the health care team by collaborating with physicians, nursing, case manager, and multi‑disciplinary team members to ensure high quality, comprehensive care is delivered. Has a collaborative practice agreement with the Neonatologist.

Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic team to support the region’s largest Level III NICU between Memphis and St. Louis.

Position Details

• Join a group of 3 board‑certified, fellowship‑trained neonatologists and 5 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
• 36 bed NICU. 306 bed Medical Center, 18 LDPR rooms.
• Our team supports a busy, high‑volume, high‑quality OB service of more than 1500 births annually.
• NEC: 0% and ROP: 0%
• Supported by the area’s only full‑time perinatology service and expert staff of nurses, respiratory therapists, and other specialists trained to detect and avert problems associated with high‑risk pregnancies and deliveries.
• Schedule will be roughly 1, 24‑hour shift (0700 - 0700) per week (total of 4 shifts/month)

Education

• Graduate of an approved Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Program for Neonatal Nurses

Certification & Licensures

• Credentialed and licensed to practice as an Advanced Practice Neonatal Nurse in the State of Missouri
• NRP Certification
• BLS Certification

Experience

• Requires a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in neonatal nursing
• Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be able to read, write and speak in fluent English
