Job summary
Saint Peter's Children's Hospital, part of Saint Peter's Healthcare System, seeks a Neonatology Nurse Practitioner to deliver direct patient care in the NICU and collaborate with neonatologists and the PA team. You will perform procedures, manage continuity of care, and assist with follow-up and family education.
Requirements include New Jersey RN license, APN licensure, NP certification, and BLS/PALS/NRP certifications, along with a Master's in nursing.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in nursing is required.
- Current RN license in New Jersey is required.
- APN licensure in New Jersey is required.
- Nurse Practitioner certification in New Jersey within area of specialty is required.
- BLS, PALS and NRP certifications are required, as approved by the American Heart Association.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care within training limits and in consultation with supervisor.
- Maintain a panel of continuity care patients and assist with follow-up.
- Assist with procedures when triage nurses are unavailable; perform venipuncture and other requested tasks.
- Collaborate with physicians and PA team for consults and monitoring.
- Follow up with patients and review routine labs; contact families as needed.
