Hackensack Meridian Health seeks an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for JFK University Medical Center in Edison, NJ. The role involves patient-centered care coordination with the hospital team to assess, plan, and implement neonatal care in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires NJ NP/PA licensure, prescriptive authority, NPI, and board certification with strong communication and computer skills; a collaborative physician relationship is essential.

Formación

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education and clinical practice.
• Experience in a relevant patient care setting.
• National Provider Identifier (NPI).
• Prescriptive authority through CDS and DEA registration according to New Jersey state law.
• Collaborative agreement with physicians on staff.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

The NNP Neonatalogy Nurse Practitioner (NNP) or Physican Assistant utilizes a patient-centered coordinated care model, demonstrating competencies in leadership, direct clinical practice, consultation/collaboration, coaching/guiding, research, and ethical decision-making. The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant works collaboratively with the practice/hospital team to assess, plan, and implement care for individuals with health and safety needs. Seeking an experienced neonatal APN for JFKUMC in Edison.

mix of 8, 10 and 12 hours shifts, 3-4 times a week.
During the weekdays, there are 2 shifts: 6am-4pm; 3pm - 11pm and the weekend shifts are 7am-7pm, every 3rd weekend.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1. Graduate of an NLN/AACN accredited nursing program.
• 2. Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.

• 5. National Provider Identifier (NPI).

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• 1. NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
• 2. Advance Practice Nurse License.
• 3. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• 4. Board certified by AANP or ANCC.
• 5. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
• 6. AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
• 7. Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• 8. NNP preferred

For Physician Assistant (PA) candidates:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

• 1. Successful completion of an approved physician's assistant program, accredited by the AMA Council on Medical Education.
• 2. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 3. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
• 4. NICU Neotaology Fellowship

Licenses and Certifications Required:

• 1. Physician Assistant License.
• 2. National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
• 3. BLS AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
• 4. AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification.
