Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the Neonatology team at Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital, within Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. The 40-bed Level IV NICU provides advanced care for critically ill and premature babies.

You will collaborate with neonatologists, fellows, residents, and NNPs to deliver comprehensive newborn care. Required NJ NP license, NNP certification or eligibility, and essential life-support

Qualifications

• Licensure: Active New Jersey NP License.
• Certification: NNP Certification (or eligible to obtain).
• Life Support Certifications: NRP, BLS HCP, ACLS.

Responsibilities

• Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal assessment and stabilization.
• Evaluate and treat complex newborns in the NICU in collaboration with neonatology attendings.
• Evaluate newborns in the well-baby nursery for conditions requiring higher level of care.
• Perform therapeutic interventions for neonatal ICU patients as needed.
• Participate actively in the NICU transport team.
• Provide family-centered care and communicate with health care teams and families.
