Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Neonatology team at K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune, NJ.

You will deliver neonatal care in a premier 48-bed Level III-C NICU, collaborating with neonatologists to optimize outcomes for at-risk newborns. Responsibilities include handling high-risk deliveries, advanced respiratory support, and developing care plans with an experienced team.

Qualifications

Active New Jersey NP license or PA license in good standing.
Certification in neonatal care (NNP) or neonatal fellowship for PA track.
Adult and neonatal life support certifications: NRP, BLS, ACLS.

Responsibilities

Attend high-risk deliveries to provide immediate neonatal assessment, stabilization, and resuscitation.
Assess, diagnose, prescribe, and perform specialized procedures for critically ill neonates.
Develop and manage comprehensive care plans with an experienced neonatology team.
Manage patients using advanced respiratory modalities including high-frequency ventilation, CPAP, and ventilation.
Provide 24-hour in-house coverage with a dedicated team of providers.
Collaborate with pediatric subspecialists, therapists, pharmacists, dietitians, and RNs.
