Job summary

The Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) in Naples NICU collaborates with attending physicians to manage high-risk newborns and infants, providing comprehensive direct patient care for life-threatening or high-acuity conditions requiring constant monitoring.

Responsibilities include history and physicals, ordering and interpreting tests, diagnosing illness, documenting care in EMR, and performing procedures within the NNP's scope.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing (DNP)
• APRN Florida Licensure - active and in good standing
• NNP Certification by the National Certification Corporation
• NRP - active and in good standing
• American Heart Association BLS - active and in good standing
• Level II Background Check
• Credentialing by NCHS Medical Administration
• 2 years of NNP experience

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses medical and surgical problems of high risk newborns.
• Develops, implements, evaluates, monitors, manages, and modifies care plans.
• Ensures plan of care guides the interdisciplinary team.
• Considers safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering care.
• Collaborates with peers to improve patient outcomes and professional growth.
• Maintains skills to provide high-quality clinical performance.
• Communicates clearly with the team and families.
• Writes orders, monitors therapies, and performs procedures within protocol in collaboration with physicians.
