Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide advanced neonatal care across West Penn and Jefferson Regional Hospitals. You will diagnose, manage treatment plans, and collaborate with neonatology physicians to care for newborns and stabilize critically ill neonates.

You will participate in QA projects, lead teams when needed, and coordinate transfers and discharge summaries while educating families and staff within a dedicated NICU setting.

Qualifications

• MSN from an approved nursing program and active state licensure.
• National certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NCC) or equivalent.
• CRNP license and prescriptive authority within specified timelines.
• BLS and NRP certifications or instructor credentials.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and interpret health histories and perform neonatal physical assessments.
• Perform diagnostic/therapeutic procedures per protocols and refer abnormalities.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal stabilization and transport as needed.
• Coordinate care plans, discharge planning, and documentation with neonatology team.
• Educate families, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and community services.
• Participate in QA projects and NICU leadership activities.
• Maintain professional development and perform other duties as assigned.
