Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide expert care in the NICU, collaborating with neonatology physicians. The role includes diagnosing, managing treatment plans, and supporting families and teams across the NICU.

The candidate should hold an MSN, NCC neonatal certification, and CRNP license, with DEA and prescriptive authority within 60 days. NRP certification and state-required clearances are required.

Qualifications

• MSN from an approved Master’s Program.
• National board certification neonatal nurse practitioner (NCC).
• CRNP license required; DEA licensure within 60 days of hire; prescriptive authority within 60 days.
• BLS certification and NRP certification (or NRP Instructor).
• Background and professional clearances as required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Obtain, record, and interpret health history; perform neonatal physical assessment.
• Order and interpret labs and radiology data; plan management with neonatology.
• Attend high-risk deliveries and provide neonatal stabilization and transport when needed.
• Coordinate discharge planning and transfers; communicate with families and teams.
• Engage in QA projects and NICU committees; participate in professional development.
