Job summary

ProMedica, based in Toledo, Ohio, seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner for the Ebeid Children’s NICU. This 72-bed Level III unit provides inpatient care for newborns from birth to six months old, with rotating day and night shifts.

You will join seven neonatologists and nine NNPs, delivering high-quality newborn care, participating in high-risk delivery coverage at Bay Park, and assisting with NICU transports as needed. A MSN or DNP is required with valid state licensure and AHA CPR.

Qualifications

• MSN or DNP required for NP applicants.
• State licensure in applicable states where the NP will work.
• Certificate of Authority to practice.
• Current AHA CPR certification and role-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neonatal care in a 72-bed Level III NICU.
• Collaborate with a team of neonatologists and NNPs.
• Cover day and night shifts with rotating hours.

Job Summary:

ProMedica Physicians Group (PPG) is seeking Neonatal Nurse Practitioner in Toledo, Ohio.

Nurse Practitioner (NP) is an advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who has completed advanced education and clinical training beyond their initial registered nurse (RN) preparation. They play a vital role across ProMedica by providing a wide range of healthcare services, including diagnosing and treating illnesses, managing chronic conditions, long term disease management, and promoting health and wellness. NPs can work in various settings, including hospitals, clinics, urgent care, long term care facilities, and private practices, and may specialize in areas like family medicine, pediatrics, or geriatrics.

Position Highlights:

• Join a team of seven Neonatologists and nine NNP’s
• 100% inpatient- neonatal patient’s (birth to six months of age)
• 72-bed Level III NICU
• Patient volume- 8-16 babies/team (4 total teams)
• Ebeid Children’s NICU unit, some high-risk delivery coverage at Bay Park and occasional NICU transport coverage to outlying hospitals
• Shift- six days per pay period (every two weeks)
• Shifts- 7:00a-8:30p (day) and 8:00p- 9:30a (nights), shift hours rotate
• Holidays/Weekends required
• No Call Required
• Experience highly preferred

Requirements:

• Master of Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing (DNP) degree for Nurse Practitioner applicants.
• State licensure(s) required in the state(s) where the Nurse Practitioner will work.
• Certificate of Authority to practice.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification and certification(s) applicable to your role.
