Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Nurse Practitioner specialized in Neonatology to cover inpatient NICU shifts in Lubbock, TX. Responsibilities include daily rounding of lower-acuity NICU patients, performing neonatal procedures, and coordinating care with the multidisciplinary team.

This is a locum tenens assignment with 8a–4p shifts, 24-hour call, and a 1 week per month coverage schedule. You will be part of a 214-bed hospital with a Level IV NICU, Epic EMR, and a team of physicians and APPs.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Neonatal Care (BC) is required.
• TX license or compact license is required.
• DEA license is required.
• BLS, PALS and NRP certifications are required.
• Inpatient NICU experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily rounding on lower-acuity NICU patients.
• Perform neonatal procedures including lumbar punctures, arterial line placements, central line placements, chest tube insertions, and airway management/intubation.
• Manage and monitor patient conditions, adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team for patient care.
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records.
