Job summary

Providence is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the neonatal care team in Lubbock, TX on-site. The role supports care for fragile newborns with comprehensive assessments, individualized care plans, and collaboration with physicians, nurses, and families.

Requirements include a Master’s in Nursing with Neonatal specialization, NNP certification or equivalent, Texas NP license, and at least two years of NICU experience.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization in Neonatal Care.
• Certification as Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP).
• Minimum of two years of experience in neonatal care.
• Current license as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of practice.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and evaluations of premature and critically ill newborns.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient.
• Manage neonatal medications, treatments, and procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure best outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families, providing education and support.
• Stay current with developments in neonatal care and research.
