Job summary

Stony Brook University’s Department of Pediatrics is seeking a board-certified Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to provide direct care in the Level 3b NICU, as well as in affiliate nurseries and the delivery room, collaborating with an Attending Neonatologist.

The NNP will assist in protocol reviews, and educate residents and NP students in DR resuscitation and NICU stabilization skills (NRP). The position is non-tenure track with FLSA exempt status.

Qualifications

• New York State licensure as a Nurse Practitioner is required.
• Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in Nursing.
• Completion of a course for a Nurse Practitioner and certification as a Neonatal Practice Nurse Practitioner.
• Minimum of one year of clinical experience working in Pediatrics.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care to patients in the Level 3b NICU and affiliated nurseries and delivery room.
• Assist in annual review of NNP protocols and policies.
• Instruct residents and NP students in DR resuscitation and NICU stabilization skills (NRP).
