IU Health’s Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a Milk Lab Technician to prepare and safely handle human milk and specialized nutrition for neonatal and pediatric patients. You will work with nurses and dietitians to support patient care in a highly regulated lab environment.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, and certification or registration as required for milk tech roles. Expect to learn food safety, sanitation, and clinical procedures while maintaining precise documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Registration as Dietetic Technician, Pharmacy Technician, or Associate's degree if hired after 7/3/2022.
• Ability to learn food safety, sanitation and clinical procedures.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, label, store, and deliver breast milk and specialized nutrition products.
• Follow strict food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation and tracking.
• Operate milk lab equipment and maintain supplies.
• Partner with nurses and dietitians to support patient care.
