Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and six months of healthcare experience must be met at the time of application.
• Pharmacy technician registration with the Mississippi State Board of Pharmacy or Pharmacy Tech Certification or CPT Certification required as applicable.
• Reads/writes and basic math; ability to use computer systems; strong interpersonal skills to work with multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Prepares feedings according to established formulations and procedures.
• Measures powders and liquids with precision.
• Verifies orders with a registered dietitian for accuracy and uses standardized recipes as needed.
• Uses clinical information system to obtain orders and print labels/production lists.
• Maintains sanitation of Milk Lab and equipment; cleans surfaces and utensils after each shift.
• Calculates formulations or recipes and logs data for audits and quality improvement.
