Job summary

Baptist Medical Center South is seeking a Milk Lab Technician to prepare and distribute human milk and formula, while maintaining accurate Milk Lab records. The role includes inventory control, compliance audits, and assisting with onboarding of new Milk Lab staff in collaboration with the Lactation Specialist (IBCLC).

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or equivalent, Milk Lab Technician competency, and preferably healthcare experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Milk Lab Technician competency required.
• Healthcare experience preferred (patient care or Pharmacy Technician).
• BLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutritional services through preparation and distribution of human milk and formula.
• Maintain Milk Lab records and documentation.
• Perform inventory control and conduct compliance audits.
• Assist with orientation of new Milk Lab staff in collaboration with Lactation Specialist (IBCLC).
• Maintain productivity standards and participate in quality improvement efforts.
