Job summary

Tribal EM in Austin, TX seeks a NICU Manager to oversee daily operations of a Level III NICU within a 360+ bed acute care hospital. You will lead staffing, ensure patient-centered neonatal care, and drive quality, safety, and throughput while advancing evidence-based practices.

The role requires 35+ years in healthcare, BSN, active Texas RN license, and 2+ years of supervisory leadership in acute care. BLS is required; ACLS preferred; specialty cert within 6 months.

Qualifications

  • BSN required; RN license in Texas or compact; active TX RN license within timeframe.
  • 35+ years healthcare experience required.
  • Minimum 2+ years supervisory or leadership experience in acute care.
  • NICU experience required; will consider strong Charge RN or CNC NICU candidates.
  • BLS required; ACLS preferred.
  • Specialty certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • NRP preferred.
  • Additional preferred certifications: FHM, RNC-OB (if applicable).

Job Summary: The NICU Manager oversees daily operations of the unit, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered neonatal care. The Manager plays a key role in fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence in patient experience.

Requirements:

  • BSN required
  • 35+ years of healthcare experience required

  • BLS required

Schedule:

  • Full-time
  • Evening shift: typically 2:00 PM 10:00 PM
  • Option for 5x8s or potential 4x10s (flexibility available)
