NICU Director (Level III) – Austin, TX

We are looking for an experienced NICU Director (Level III RN) to lead a high-performing 99-bed NICU unit in Austin, TX. This role involves managing 150 staff members, including 2 managers, and ensuring the highest quality of neonatal care.

• Location: Austin, TX
• Call: Rotates with 2 managers
• Salary: Up to $173K + Bonus Eligible
• Relocation Assistance Available

Responsibilities

• Lead the 99-bed Level III NICU, ensuring top-quality neonatal care
• Develop and implement policies and best practices to improve patient outcomes
• Oversee staff scheduling, training, and performance management
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements
• Optimize patient throughput and resource allocation

Requirements

• BSN required; Master’s preferred
• Active RN License (TX or Compact)
• BLS required; ACLS, NRP, FHM, RNC-OB preferred
• 3+ years of NICU Director-level experience
• Strong leadership, budgeting, and quality improvement skills
