Job summary

University of California - San Francisco (UCSF) seeks a registered nurse for the Intensive Care Nursery (ICN). You will participate as a core member of interdisciplinary teams, providing advanced bedside care to critically ill neonates and infants with complex needs.

Responsibilities include applying the nursing process, coordinating care with specialists, and assisting with management of patient care across UCSF Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of recent clinical RN experience in a level III Intensive Care Nursery with a surgical patient population.
• Proficiency in caring for extreme low birth weight infants and neonates with congenital anomalies such as Pre-Operative Congenital Heart Disease.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required.
• Assists with management of patient care administered by other nursing team members.
