Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) is seeking a NICU Registered Nurse to join the Level III/IV NICCU team. The role involves patient assessments, care planning, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-level neonatal care.
The RN will work 12-hour night shifts (7PM-7AM), handling complex cases and following NICU protocols, including ECMO and advanced ventilatory support when needed. California RN license and CPR/BLS/PALS/NRP are required.
The Registered Nurse, under general supervision, conducts patient assessments, participates in the development of the plan of care, implements and evaluates care according to patient specific age and/or developmental needs. Collaborates with other health care team members in the delivery of care. Employee will follow applicable policies and procedures in handling supplies, pharmaceuticals, and equipment.
Neonatal Intensive Critical Care Unit (NICCU): a level IV neonatal intensive care unit, that features 58 beds and serves as an international referral center with the majority of patients from the western United States. We provide a complete range of medical and surgical services for neonates with the most complex conditions. The unit's specialized programs include the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) Program, a Whole-Body Therapeutic Hypothermia Program, complex surgical specialties, highly specialized ventilatory support & home ventilation program, neonatal and infant diagnostic and follow-up services.
