Job summary

UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital seeks a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner to join the inpatient newborn care team. You will provide primary responsibility for safe delivery of care to newborns and infants in the NICU, collaborating with physicians, nurses and support staff.

Required are CA RN and NP licenses with a Neonatal specialization and at least 1 year in a Level III/IV NICU; 2+ years and IBCLC lactation certification are preferred. Credentialing via UCSF OMAG takes 60–90 days before first day.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with a Neonatal NP specialization.
• Minimum of one year of recent working experience in a Level III or IV NICU as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Preferred: more than two years in a Level III/IV Neonatal ICU and IBCLC lactation certification.

Responsibilities

• The Nurse Practitioner will act as a member of the care team, taking primary responsibility for the safe delivery of care for inpatient newborns and infants.

Education

California Board of Registered Nursing recognized Nurse Practitioner Program with Neonatal NP specialization (masters or doctoral)

Minimum 1 year recent experience in Level III/IV NICU as Nurse Practitioner
