Job summary

OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Human Milk Technician to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will handle, prepare, label, and inventory mother’s milk and donor milk, calculate feedings from orders, and ensure safe storage and sanitation in a fast-paced neonatal setting.

Responsibilities include using EMR and the MOMS system, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with nursing staff to adjust orders as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Basic mathematical skills and medical terminology; computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individualized human milk feedings following procedures.
• Interpret orders in EMR and perform complex calculations for feedings.
• Receive, label, and track mother’s milk using the MOMS system.
• Store prepared feedings with correct temperatures and rotate stock.
• Maintain sanitation and aseptic techniques across the unit.
• Monitor inventory and restock nutrition supplies as needed.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
