OhioHealth in Columbus, OH is seeking a Human Milk Technician to support the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. You will handle, prepare, label, and inventory mother’s milk and donor milk, calculate feedings from orders, and ensure safe storage and sanitation in a fast-paced neonatal setting.
Responsibilities include using EMR and the MOMS system, maintaining accurate records, and communicating with nursing staff to adjust orders as needed.

The Human Milk Tech is responsible for highly specialized tasks for the preparation, inventory, distribution and management of mother's breast milk. Both Human Milk (HM) and Donor Human Milk (DHM) will be processed for nutritional needs/additives in supporting the neonate in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Demonstrate competencies relative to infection control principles, appropriate technical calculation (weights and measures conversions, including metrics). Demonstrate knowledge of common medical abbreviations and terminologies, available formula products and human milk additives. Effectively communicates with members of the health care team.
