Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Neonatal Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or PA) to join Elmhurst Hospital's Level IIe Special Care Nursery. The role involves autonomous and collaborative practice, delivering care in L&D, nursery, and ICU with a focus on newborn stabilization and long-term care for late preterm infants.

The position requires IL APRN licensure, pediatric residency or Master’s in neonatal specialty, BLS and NRP, and relevant neonatal certification/ fellowship steps.

Qualifications

• APRN license in IL required; DEA and IS Controlled Substance license.
• Completion of accredited pediatric residency or Master’s level program in specialty area.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider and NRP certifications required.
• ABP neonatal certification eligible; NCC certification as Neonatal NP; neonatal PA fellowship completion.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to newborns in L&D, nursery and ICU during shift.
• Maintain accurate medical records for each treated patient.
• Perform procedures: PPV, intubation, central lines, chest tubes as needed.
• Collaborate on policy development and QI monitoring; act as clinical resource.
