About the Position
Lynx Boardman is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional NEMT Driver to join our team on a full-time day shift .
The NEMT Driver is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for patients and clients traveling to and from medical appointments, healthcare facilities, and other approved destinations.
The ideal candidate takes pride in helping others, has excellent customer-service skills, and understands the importance of punctuality, safety, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport patients and clients to and from medical appointments and healthcare facilities.
- Provide courteous, respectful, and compassionate service to every passenger.
- Assist passengers with entering and exiting the vehicle when needed.
- Assist passengers with mobility devices according to training and company procedures.
- Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining punctual pickup and drop-off times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, facility staff, patients, caregivers, and family members.
- Complete required trip, mileage, and transportation documentation accurately.
- Perform required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.
- Report vehicle maintenance needs, safety concerns, incidents, or accidents promptly.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and applicable transportation regulations.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.
- Remain professional and patient when dealing with passengers who may have special needs.
- Ensure passengers are transported safely and securely at all times.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully complete required background and employment screening.
- Strong communication and customer-service skills.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and responsibly.
- Professional, respectful, and compassionate attitude.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to safely assist passengers as required.
- Ability to work full-time day shifts, including weekends or holidays when scheduled.
- Previous NEMT, medical transportation, healthcare, caregiving, or passenger transportation experience is preferred.
