Job summary

The University of Utah's Werner lab is seeking a Laboratory Technician with experience working with nematodes, ideally with micro-injection, CRISPR, and maintenance of nematode cultures.

Preference for background in chromatin immunoprecipitation and ATAC-seq, and solid knowledge in molecular biology and epigenetics. The position offers a day shift, 40 hours per week, and a starting pay rate of $16-20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Experience working with nematodes and maintaining nematode cultures.
• Experience with micro-injection and CRISPR techniques.
• Background in molecular biology and epigenetics is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests, experiments, and analyses under supervision.
• Prepare and weigh samples for testing and analysis.
• Follow SOPs and GLPs; ensure equipment and work areas are clean and properly functioning.
• May assist calibration of instruments and more experienced team members.
• Senior level support with little supervision.
