Seattle Preparatory School, a Jesuit college preparatory school in Seattle, seeks a Neighborhood Relations/Campus Security team member to monitor parking, enforce rules, and ensure a safe campus environment. You will report to the Dean of Students and work 10:30 AM–7:00 PM during the school year plus one week before/after.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and two years of related experience, or equivalent.
• Commitment to Prep's mission and values, especially DI&E.

Responsibilities

• Conducts neighborhood patrols to ensure adherence to the neighborhood parking agreement.
• Communicates daily with the Campus Ambassador/Security lead about evening responsibilities.
• Helps enforce garage rules related to speed, parking, and student behavior.
• Mitigates tensions with neighbors.
• Monitors buildings and campus for unauthorized persons and incidents; reports to Dean of Students or authorities.
• Monitors surveillance camera system and prepares backups of incidents.
• Sweeps facilities on arrival and secures assigned areas.
• Escorts students and visitors as needed.
• Conducts locker and property searches as assigned.
• Assists with after-hours activities on and off campus.
• May provide security during events such as basketball games, open house, curriculum night.
• Assists with evacuations and crisis plan review.
• End-of-shift security checks and locking procedures.
• Prepares incident reports.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
